Terms & Conditions

Education & Industry Forum (EIF) · Last updated: August 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to registration for and participation in the Education & Industry Forum (“EIF” or the “Forum”). By registering for EIF, you agree to these terms.

1. About the Forum

The Education & Industry Forum brings together representatives of universities, companies, institutions, student organisations and other participants interested in strengthening cooperation between education and industry. The Forum is organised by European Centre for Career Education (ECCEDU) (“we”, “us” or the “Organiser”). Information about the Forum, including the current programme, venue and speakers, is available on the EIF website.

2. Registration and Tickets

Registration is confirmed once the applicable registration fee has been paid and you have received confirmation from us. Tickets are intended for the registered participant. If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your ticket to another person from your organisation free of charge, subject to approval from the Organiser. Different ticket categories provide different benefits, as described on the EIF website at the time of purchase.

3. Prices and Payment

The applicable ticket price is the price displayed during registration. Any applicable taxes or charges will be clearly indicated during the registration process. Participants are responsible for their own travel, accommodation and other personal expenses unless expressly stated otherwise.

4. Cancellation by a Participant

If you cancel your participation, the following refund policy applies:

  • More than 90 days before the Forum: we will refund 100% of the registration fee.

  • Between 30 and 90 days before the Forum: we will refund 50% of the registration fee.

  • Less than 30 days before the Forum: the registration fee is normally non-refundable.

Instead of cancelling, you may transfer your registration to another person from your organisation at no additional cost. If exceptional personal circumstances prevent you from attending, please contact us. We will always try to find a reasonable solution. Refunds will be processed within 14 days of confirming the cancellation.

5. Cancellation or Changes by the Organiser

We may make reasonable changes to the programme, timetable, speakers, individual sessions or venue where necessary. The Forum is built around contributions from external organisations, so individual speakers or programme elements may occasionally change. Such changes do not normally entitle participants to a refund if the Forum itself takes place substantially as planned. If we cancel the entire Forum, participants will receive a 100% refund of the registration fee.

If we need to postpone the Forum to a new date, participants may either:

  • Keep their registration for the new date.

  • Request a full refund.

We are not responsible for participants’ travel, accommodation or other third-party expenses. We therefore recommend using flexible or refundable travel arrangements where practical.

6. Circumstances Beyond Our Control

Sometimes events outside anyone’s reasonable control may affect the Forum. These may include severe weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, major transport disruption, public health emergencies, security incidents or similar extraordinary circumstances. If this happens, we will make reasonable efforts to hold, postpone, relocate or otherwise adapt the Forum.

7. Participation and Conduct

EIF is designed to encourage open, respectful and constructive discussion. Participants are expected to behave professionally and respectfully towards other participants, speakers, staff and partners. We reserve the right to refuse admission or ask someone to leave the Forum in cases of serious misconduct, harassment, discrimination, threatening behaviour or deliberate disruption of the event.

8. Photography and Recording

Photography and video recording may take place during EIF for documentation and communication about the Forum. By attending, you acknowledge that you may appear incidentally in photographs or recordings of the event. Where an individual participant is the main subject of an interview, testimonial or dedicated recording, we will seek appropriate consent. If you have concerns about appearing in photographs or recordings, please contact the EIF team and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request.

9. Personal Data

We process personal data provided during registration for purposes connected with organising and administering the Forum, communicating with participants and providing the services associated with their registration. We handle personal data in accordance with applicable data-protection legislation, including the GDPR. We will not sell participants’ personal data to third parties. Additional information about how personal data is processed may be provided in our Privacy Policy.

10. Networking and Participant Information

Networking is an important part of EIF. Participants may have opportunities to interact with other registered participants, speakers, exhibitors and partners through the event platform or during the Forum. We will not provide participants’ private contact information to other participants for unrelated marketing purposes without an appropriate legal basis or consent. Participants are expected to use information obtained through EIF responsibly and respectfully.

11. Exhibitors and Partners

Participants registering for an exhibition stand or another special participation package will receive the services described for that package at the time of registration. Exhibitors are responsible for their own materials, equipment and activities at their stand and must comply with reasonable instructions from the Organiser and the venue. We may provide additional practical information to exhibitors before the Forum.

12. Accessibility and Special Requirements

We want EIF to be accessible and welcoming. Participants with accessibility requirements, dietary restrictions or other reasonable special requirements are encouraged to contact us in advance. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such requirements, although some requests may depend on the facilities or services available at the venue.

13. Responsibility

We are responsible for organising and delivering the Forum with reasonable care. However, participation in EIF and associated activities is at the participant’s own responsibility. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for indirect losses or for loss or damage caused by third-party service providers outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

14. Applicable Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. If a disagreement arises, we encourage participants to contact us first. We will make a reasonable effort to resolve the matter amicably. Any mandatory rights available to consumers under applicable law remain unaffected.

15. Contact

Questions regarding registration, cancellation or these Terms & Conditions can be directed to the EIF team through the contact details provided on the EIF website.
